HALLOWEEN BASH BLOG HOP – TUESDAY

Over 110 fabulous Halloween Ideas shared by bloggers. #halloweenideas #halloween

Halloween is absolutely one of my FAVORITE holidays and to celebrate I pulled together the creative minds of some of my talented blogging friends to bring you over 110 fabulous Halloween ideas! From costumes to parties, crafts and home decor, recipes and free printables, we have so many fun ideas to share! I guarantee you’ll find a project (or 10!) that you would love to incorporate into your Halloween festivities. All week (Monday through Saturday) myself and my blogging friends will be sharing our fun creations with all of you. Each day will include approximately 20 Halloween projects and you can “hop” from one blog to another to check them all out.

Here is my contribution (Lucky #13 – how appropriate for this time of year) to this fun Blog Hop. I call these little guys Punkin Heads.

Let’s get started! First of all you will need to gather up your craft supplies. Here is a quick shot of the items needed to create your very own Punkin Heads.

Step 1

You will need: Glue, T-shirt yarn or cut your own strips, beads, google eyes, pompoms, leaf cutouts, foam balls (I used 2 and 3 inch balls), a measuring tape, scissors and bottle caps for the bases. If you are planning on creating your own t-shirt stirps. Cut strips  1  1/4″ wide, cutting across the width of the t shirt and pull to form tubes. You will need fifteen orange strips 20″ long and one 12″ green strip.

Step 2

Set one strip aside and lay the fourteen  strips onto a flat surface. Use the remaining strip to tie them together at the center point.  Fan out the strips as shown in the photo.

Step 4

Center the foam ball on top of the knot and wrap strips up and around the ball, being sure to cover the entire surface of the ball and tie using a  green t shirt strip. Tie a bow and trim. Glue bottle cap over the knot to create a level standing surface. Use glue to attach the eyes, nose etc to your Punkin Head. Create a fun hairstyle for your Punkin Head by trimming and tying knots. Beads may also be added to individual strands of hair before tying a knot. Add leaves. REfer to the project photo for ideas on decorating and styling your Punkin Head.
